Our next Community Involvement Mobile Workshop is February 25, 2017. We’ll be taking a behind the scenes tour of the groundwater treatment plants and a munitions cleanup site. Rain or Shine! We’ve also got an open house where you can ask questions about the cleanup project.
To Get There: Take Exit 406 on Highway 1. Follow the signs from Lightfighter Drive.
Directions from Highway 1: Take Exit 406. Stay on Lightfighter Drive. Pass General Jim Moore Boulevard. Turn left onto Colonel Durham Road. Turn left onto 8th Avenue. Turn Right onto Joe Lloyd Way. Building 4522 is at the end of the road.
Learn more about the cleanup of the former Fort Ord at the Community Involvement Mobile Workshop. Take a free 90 minute guided bus tour that includes stops at the landfill as well as soil and groundwater cleanup areas at the former Fort Ord. This event is free. No reservations are required. Each tour is the same, so pick a time that works for you.

Don’t want to tour, then join us at the Open House inside Building 4522 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The next Community Involvement Mobile Workshop / Bus Tour will be July 15, 2017. The July tour is focused on munitions cleanup and prescribed burns.
